B. Resident coordinator system and United Nations country teams

While the management of the resident coordinator system should remain with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), which is our principal development institution, the broader United Nations Development Group (UNDG) should guide resident United Nations country teams, led by properly resourced and empowered resident coordinators.

Delegations generally shared the view that, at the country level, the United Nations should be seen as operating as one team under the leadership of the Resident Coordinator.
