The 2004 and 2005 rounds of the UNIDO OECD joint annual compilation programme of global industrial statistics

In 1999, the first compilation of Gender Statistics in Republic Tajikistan was published. The compilation provides an extensive presentation of the basic socio economic indices and standard of living indicators. They consist of statistics on women and men, that reflect their status in all spheres of public life.

In this context, further improvement in the compilation, analysis and dissemination of internationally comparable distributive trade statistics is recognized by the Statistics Division as one of its immediate priority activities.

Minimum age for marriage and compilation of a marriage act at the vital statistics office upon contraction of the marriage are regulated.

Specifically, the module provides technical cooperation services in industrial governance and services related to the compilation, processing and dissemination of industrial statistics.

For this, two analytical papers based on the UNIDO databases and two methodological papers for the compilation of industrial statistics were produced.

To facilitate the discussions, the UNCTAD secretariat is preparing an issues note on FDI statistics data compilation and policy issues.

In 2006, the Statistics Division will conduct a comprehensive review of country practices in compilation and reporting of international merchandise trade statistics in order to assess their compliance with the current recommendations of the Statistical Commission.

The joint OECD Eurostat Task Force on Services Prices in Short Term Statistics is preparing a guide for the compilation of producer price indices for services.

To that end, the Statistics Division has included questions on the statistical territory in its methodological questionnaires that serve to update countries' national compilation and dissemination practices.

Urges Governments to cooperate with the Statistics Division of the Secretariat in the continued development of global statistics and indicators on disability, and encourages them to avail themselves of the technical assistance of the Division to build national capacities for national data collection systems, including the compilation and dissemination of data on disabled persons, as well as the development of methods for data collection and disability statistics, as appropriate
