1.28 The amount of 9,023,200 represents the cost of travel of representatives of the United Nations to meetings of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Board and its Standing Committee ( 258,100) and the regular budget share of the cost of the central secretariat of the Fund ( 8,765,100).

19. According to information made available to the Board, a sufficient amount of money was available and had been authorized to implement the cost plan for expenditure envisaged for 1998 on the basis of the recommendations made by the Board in 1997.
