The Expert Group on Best Available Techniques and Best Environmental Practices has considered the request from the Basel Convention inviting bodies of the Stockholm Convention to consider best available techniques and best environmental practices with respect to unintentionally produced persistent organic pollutants, including the more recent technologies for destruction and irreversible transformation listed in the general technical guidelines.
