United Nations agencies dealing with the subject of indigenous traditional knowledge should increase their level of coordination with a view to developing common principles, concepts, policies and programmes on indigenous traditional knowledge, in accordance with their respective mandates.

At the plant level, their constraints range from limited technical and managerial skills, problems in securing funds and insufficient knowledge of laws and regulations.

Expert bodies

In an attempt to make the resolution less politicized, we introduced a number of amendments to try to make it more balanced when it was under consideration at the expert level.
