The issue of non strategic nuclear weapons was included in the Final Document of the 2000 Review Conference.

The whole document will be sent to the UN CTC for exchange of information on this very crucial issue.

It is regrettable, therefore, that this important issue is not mentioned in the outcome document we are about to adopt.

The report of the Secretary General in document A 60 227 addresses the issue of transition from relief to development.

We were also pleased to observe that this significant issue was duly addressed in the United Nations summit outcome document.

The Executive Committee commissioned a study on this issue, which is contained in document OzL.Pro.25.WG.1 25 INF 5.

The United Nations summit also failed to address the issue of disarmament and non proliferation in its outcome document (resolution 60 1).

The document discusses the issue in a number of places, including paras. 15, 19, 86, 88 92, 99 100 and 116 117.

One issue related to the peace and security agenda that was conspicuously missing from the summit outcome document is disarmament and non proliferation.

The lack of any substantive section on this issue in the outcome document is a vivid reflection of the differences of view that still exist.

The Conference calls upon the Preparatory Committee to make recommendations to the 2005 Review Conference on this issue. (Final document of the 2000 Review Conference)

In that regard, we are heartened that the outcome document of the recently concluded summit has referred to the issue of migration and that the next session of the General Assembly will discuss the issue of migration and development.

The Pacific Caucus said that it would include this issue on its agenda and would consider the document at its next proposed meeting in March 2006.

The outcome document calls for early reform of the Security Council, and the General Assembly is to review progress on this issue by the end of the year.

They relate also to the lack of comprehensive scope of the document, which addresses only the issue of the proliferation of missiles but not that of their development.

Once again, moreover, the paramount issue of decentralization for the creation of a stable environment had been omitted from the planned activities, as detailed in document A 59 633.

Furthermore, in order to avoid the translation of the same document twice, delegations are requested to inform the secretariat if any document to be issued in the Conference on Disarmament has already been submitted for issue in any United Nations body, and specifically in New York.

This document will also contribute to the implementation of the Global Compact principles in United Nations procurement practices by addressing the issue of corporate social responsibility, environmental and sustainable procurement and corruption.

Mr. Beck (Solomon Islands) My delegation wishes to refer to document A 60 250 and to register its disappointment in the manner in which the General Committee discussed the issue of the agenda.

It was further pointed out that the carrier and the shipper were in a position to decide whether to issue a document and to choose the type of document, and that a documentary approach would thus make the protection of third parties dependent on the decision of the parties to the contract.
