In December 2004 the thirty sixth meeting of the intergovernmental Joint Committee was held in Rabat.

The inter committee meeting agreed that treaty bodies could consider drafting joint general comments on issues of common concern.

The Joint Commission on Essential Legislation has met twice since its inaugural meeting on 24 January.

An updated document reviewing the status of ratifications will be distributed at the forthcoming joint meeting.

In addition, holding a meeting of the Executive Committee before a Meeting of the Parties raises problems with regard to overlap with the Implementation Committee meeting.

E. Participation in inter committee meeting

The Force Commander would chair the Ceasefire Joint Military Committee and the sector commanders would chair the area joint military committees in their respective sectors.

The meeting is expected to draw up a work programme with a timetable for joint methodological work.

The Ceasefire Joint Military Committee has already been established, and it is functioning well.

UNICEF, UNFPA and UNIFEM have agreed to prepare a joint report for the next United Nations entities' closed meeting with the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women at its thirty fourth session in January 2006.

For that purpose, a new P 3 post for the Secretary of the Joint Appeals Board Joint Disciplinary Committee with part time administrative support is proposed.
