Safety safety first?

A number of objectives to meet this goal have also been identified. These are to assess the road safety situation and existing national facilities to address the problem to develop guidance and support for effective road safety interventions to provide capacity development on road safety issues to advocate for and encourage demand for road safety to strengthen global and regional coordination on road safety and to improve the safety of fleets of United Nations vehicles for all road users.

The State party notes that the authors proposed to use the site for collective purposes religious ceremonies, rituals and other group undertakings, which require particular safety arrangements and strict compliance with relevant standards.

The Convention on Nuclear Safety has evolved into a forum for more substantive discussion on safety issues, incorporating feedback and lessons learned from the results of IAEA peer reviews.
