Member States should make every effort to pay their assessed contributions on time, as savings made to cover budget shortfalls, particularly those achieved by reducing staff costs, might prove detrimental to technical cooperation delivery.

(iii) A member from among those elected by the staff.

(i) The staff member shall receive an allowance for each dependent child, except that the allowance shall not be paid in respect of the first dependent child if the staff member has no dependent spouse, in which case the staff member shall be entitled to the dependency rate of staff assessment under subparagraph (b) (i) of regulation 3.3

UNICEF staff require the technical and organizational skills to engage with and support partners.

(c) Rule 107.1 (c), Official travel of staff members, is amended to clarify that on separation of a staff member the Organization will pay the travel expenses of staff member to the place of home leave if the staff member has a probationary appointment or an appointment of two years or longer or has completed two years of continuous service

Technical expertise available in APETIT member institutes will be fully utilized.

Communications, client services, training of staff, including the administrative staff of the member organizations, are recent additions to these responsibilities.

(b) Technical assistance and training of civilian and military personnel, including a staff exchange programme

Internal guidelines for the staff of the Division have been formulated on technical assistance work.

It urged Member States to support IINA with editorial and technical staff, as well as with news and information about Islamic activities and development programmes so that its objectives of service to the Islamic media can be achieved.

The Office then temporarily filled the post with a staff member from Headquarters.

The staff member has a special post allowance to the P 2 level.

Technical considerations concerning associated construction activities, security issues, staff displacement and accommodation can all be resolved.

The Ministry has designated a technical representative as a member of the Interministerial Committee.

The Committee notes that at present, all staff separation related costs and termination indemnities are paid from the last source of funding for the post at the time a staff member separates such indemnities are incurred when a staff member with five or more years of service is terminated.

1.71 The Ombudsman maintains strict confidentiality concerning matters brought to his or her attention and will not divulge the identity of a staff member who seeks the assistance of the Office without the authorization of that staff member.

Technical assistance activities of the TPB, including additional staff required for their delivery, are financed from voluntary contributions.

However, the proposal will be studied for possible implementation once all technical and other staff concerned are consulted.

(c) The letter of appointment of a staff member on secondment from government service signed by the staff member and by or on behalf of the Secretary General, and relevant supporting documentation of the terms and conditions of secondment agreed to by the Member State and the staff member, shall be evidence of the existence and validity of secondment from government service to the Organization for the period stated in the letter of appointment.

(b) Exceptions to the Staff Rules may be made by the Secretary General, provided that such exception is not inconsistent with any staff regulation or other decision of the General Assembly and provided further that it is agreed to by the staff member directly affected and is, in the opinion of the Secretary General, not prejudicial to the interests of any other staff member or group of staff members.

The weighted staff position for each Member State comprises the total number of staff of that country by grade, multiplied by the gross annual salary by grade.
