The present report identifies, pursuant to article 41 of the United Nations Compensation Commission's (the Commission ) Provisional Rules for Claims Procedure (S AC.26 1992 10) (the Rules ), recommended corrections in the various claims categories since the Twenty eighth report of the Executive Secretary pursuant to article 41 of the Provisional Rules for Claims Procedure (S AC.26 2004 18) (the twenty eighth article 41 report ).

At its twenty eighth session, the Working Group considered as a matter of priority the impact and role of discrimination, in particular gender discrimination, in the perpetuation of contemporary forms of slavery.

At its twenty eighth session, in May 2002, the Committee against Torture revised its rules of procedure and established the function of a Rapporteur for follow up of decisions on complaints submitted under article 22.

At its twenty eighth and fifty seventh sessions, respectively, the General Assembly increased the membership of the Commission from 29 to 36 States (resolution 3108 (XXVIII)) and from 36 to 60 States (resolution 57 20).

At its twenty eighth session, the Working Group decided to consider as a matter of priority at its thirtieth session in 2005, in the context of its thirtieth anniversary, an assessment of its activities and work.

The question of the reduction of military budgets was included in the agenda of the twenty eighth session of the General Assembly, in 1973, at the request of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (A 9191).

H. Eighth safeguard

The Rapporteur Mandate. At its twenty eighth session, in May 2002, the Committee against Torture revised its rules of procedure and established the function of a Rapporteur for follow up of decisions on complaints submitted under article 22.

At its twenty eighth session, in 1995, the Commission approved the project, undertaken jointly with Committee D of the International Bar Association, aimed at monitoring the legislative implementation of the New York Convention, by the States parties thereto.

21. Decides to include in the provisional agenda of its fifty eighth session the item entitled Implementation of the outcome of the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements (Habitat II) and of the twenty fifth special session of the General Assembly .
