The Committee welcomes the constructive dialogue with the delegation of the State party, which included representatives of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR).

Section 2 provides similar information on the Special Administrative Region of Macao, and is provided by the government of that Region.

a On 1 July 1997, Hong Kong became a Special Administrative Region of China.

The regency, an administrative region below a province, had an estimated population of 299,200 in 2017.

In the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, more than 500 million Hong Kong dollars have been raised.

o On 12 November 1999, Portugal presented a declaration of territorial application of the Convention with respect to Macau (now the Macao Special Administrative Region of China).

Each region has its own administrative structure a military authority, a health authority, school inspectorates, labour inspectorates, local government offices and, in the near future, human rights departments.

He has an organization of subordinates that assist him in carrying out administrative activities in both the city of Kismaayo and the remainder of the Lower Juba region.

While the fiscal situation is not currently a matter of concern in most countries of the subregion, steps to ensure fiscal soundness may be necessary in Hong Kong, Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China.

The Chinese Government has also dispatched medical and rescue teams to the affected areas at very short notice. The Macao Special Administrative Region has also sent a rescue team to the disaster hit area.

In the opinion of OIOS, the Institute's administrative accountability system should be improved by assigning overall administrative supervisory responsibility on behalf of the Secretary General to one of the Secretariat members of the INSTRAW Executive Board (preferably the Department of Economic and Social Affairs or the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, which is located in the same region as INSTRAW).

For the purpose of the present report, a local administration can be defined as an area that may comprise a region, a city or a district where an individual or a group has de facto governmental and administrative control.
