These regulations incorporate the minimum standards of 25 Core Principles for Effective Banking Supervision, which is being promulgated by the Basel Committee for Banking Supervision, BIS.

Those principles are the core of its inner strength.

The methodology of the INDISCO programme is based on a community driven participatory approach to development in which the gender balanced participation and consultation of indigenous and tribal peoples are core principles.
