The first was what the Commission had called the basis for diplomatic protection.

14. On the basis of discussions within the Sub Commission, and in response to express requests by the Commission, the Special Rapporteur

Finally, it was agreed that the Joint Commission would meet on a regular basis, perhaps monthly.

5. As a result of those decisions, the Sub Commission considered the following items on a biennial basis

20. Firstly, the Commission needed to find a balance between two legislative approaches the granting of nationality on the basis of territorial origin, or on the basis of parental origin.

11. On the basis of the guidelines set out in Sub Commission decision 1996 117, the following issues are successively addressed.

53. In its resolution 1996 33 A, the Commission on Human Rights requested the Secretary General to continue to keep the Commission informed of the operations of the Fund on an annual basis.

A general review of UNRWA programmes and activities is undertaken on an annual basis by the Advisory Commission, which comprises 11 members. The Advisory Commission has a working relationship with the Palestine Liberation Organization.

80. UNIS covers all public sessions of the Commission on Human Rights, the Sub Commission and the treaty bodies, providing detailed press releases which form the basis of much media reporting of these meetings.

6. By its decision 1988 104, the Sub Commission decided to consider, after its forty first session in 1989, the item entitled Review of the work of the Sub Commission on a biennial basis.

Inputs received will be the basis of a report on follow up submitted annually to the Commission on Human Rights Human Rights Council.
