These justice institutions have recently developed a collaborative and productive relationship institutionalized in the Justice Sector Consultative Group (JSCG), chaired by MoJ.

The Assembly should therefore give the working group a consultative aspect in order to continue to address this complex and political issue.

At its first meeting, the consultative group reviewed donors' commitments to supporting a smooth transition from UNOTIL to a sustainable development assistance framework.

In this regard, IFAD plans to mainstream indigenous traditional knowledge issues within the work of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research system.

The second meeting of the consultative group, held on 26 July, addressed the institutional capacity development of the Timorese national police (see para. 26 below).

The celebration attracted 600 participants including ministers of agriculture, senior officers and heads of governmental departments, Consultative Group centres and diplomatic missions in sub Saharan Africa.

The permanent Working Group on Cooperation in Antarctica of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) has reported annually to the Consultative Meetings since its establishment in 1992.

As a result of this, the organizations formulated a proposal entitled Desertification, Drought, Poverty and Agriculture which was submitted to the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research.

Since the postponement of the Consultative Group meeting for Sierra Leone, which was to have been held in June, preparations for the meeting later this year have been ongoing.
