Accordingly, the proposed staffing for the Logistics and Movement Control Section reflects the redeployment of posts at the General Service, Field Service and local level from the General Services Section.

The Movement Control Air Operations Section will be integrated with the military observers movement control unit, which will have added responsibility for the movements of United Tajik Opposition weapons.

139. There are two units within the Section the General Supply Unit and the Property Control and Survey Board Unit.

With regard to section 14 (Crime control), the Committee had recommended that the General Assembly should take into consideration the views which Member States had expressed in the discussion of that section.

Under the supervision of the Chief of the Movement Control Section, the incumbent would be responsible for performing quality control evaluations of specialized transportation resources and movement services provided through contractual arrangements.

Two Shipping Assistants, 1 Field Service and 1 national General Service staff are to be redeployed to the Movement Control Section.

IV.60 The Advisory Committee notes that section 16 represents the first effort to combine drug control, crime prevention and criminal justice.

Under section 14 (Crime control), it was proposed to reconstitute the Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Division as the Centre for International Crime Prevention, which, together with the United Nations International Drug Control Programme, would form the new Office for Drug Control and Crime Prevention.

For 2006 2007, the Secretary General proposed a programme budget totalling 33,043,800 under section 16, International drug control, crime prevention and criminal justice.

Further decides to reclassify four P 4 posts to the P 5 level, one in section 15, Human settlements, one in section 17, International drug control, and two in section 22, Economic and social development in Western Asia, one D 1 post to the D 2 level in section 30, Internal oversight, and one D 2 post to the Assistant Secretary General level in section 27, Humanitarian assistance

The previously separate administrative and project personnel functions have been consolidated in the Human Resources Management Section of the Finance, Control and Administration Division.
