The Personal Status (Evangelical Courts) Act

They train Timorese court actors and act as court officials in district courts.

The institution of local courts is provided for under article 91 of the Constitution. Local courts are established under the Local Courts Act, chapter 29 of the Laws of Zambia.

The Courts have extra territorial Jurisdiction under the following act in the following situations.

This ability is critical when the courts consider that they should act with urgency.

The Family Courts Act, 1964 provides for constitution of Special Family Courts to adjudicate family cases e.g. divorce, maintenance and custody of children, etc.

The Austrian courts, generally speaking, act in conformity with the legal standpoint of the government.

The subordinate courts are provided for under article 91 of the Constitution and are established by the Subordinate Courts Act, chapter 28 of the Laws of Zambia.

The Decree ousted the jurisdiction of the courts to question any act of the Body of Benches.

In relation to the competence of the national Courts of Seychelles, please elaborate on the situations in which local courts have extraterritorial jurisdiction that are referred to at page 10 of the supplementary report, and provide information on the various pieces of legislation pertaining to these matters (e.g. anti money laundering, computer misuse act, civil aviation act, hijacking act, the Terrorism act, etc)

The Federal Courts Act provides for a period of 30 days to submit an application for judicial review.

(iii) Act No. 26695 of 3 December 1996 establishing temporary benches at the Supreme Court and higher courts

The court should act as a complement to, not a substitute for national courts and should have limited jurisdiction over cases which national courts were unable or unwilling to deal with.

5. Statutory regulations on the youth custody system are only contained in a small number of fundamental and organizational provisions of the Youth Courts Act and the Prison Act.

According to the Courts Act, lay judges participate in the administration of justice in county and city courts on the bases and pursuant to the procedure provided by the codes of court procedure.

Article 1 of the new Act stipulates, there shall be established, within the courts of first instance and military courts, specialized chambers with exclusive competence to try the offences referred to in article 1 .

The Act for Judicial Demarcation and Planning of 28 December 1988 provides for the creation of 70 courts of this kind.

(7) The Committee welcomes the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act 2003, which prohibits courts from accepting confessions unless they are made in court.

This principle makes it possible for the courts in all countries to take cognizance of an act constituting a crime against humanity.

Trial Courts Courts of Justices

Under the Act, any person, including a foreign State, could initiate civil proceedings in Australian courts when the offence fell within Australia's jurisdiction.

Pursuant to section 993 (2) of the Administration of Justice Act, claims for damages may be brought before the (civil) courts for decision.

He wondered whether women could apply directly to the ordinary courts or were obliged to act through the Ombudsperson, and whether the Ombudsperson was qualified to act on behalf of women who had suffered discrimination.

Those officials might act on the basis of the statutory authority or might be regularly called upon by courts to intervene in insolvency proceedings.

The Ethnic Groups Act contains detailed regulations concerning the use of minority languages in official communications with federal, provincial and local authorities, including administrative authorities and courts, and they may also be used in appellate proceedings in superior courts.

The amended Acts will come into force at the same time as the amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code, Subordinate Courts Act 1948 and the Courts of Judicature Acts 1964 which are scheduled to be tabled at the next Parliamentary session.

127. The jurisdictional organs are the Supreme Court of Justice, and such other courts as may be determined by the Judiciary apos s organization act.

Those responsible for the actions covered by the Act may be brought before the courts, which may be called on in two types of situation

The 1989 Children Act does not allow parents to have their daughters undergo excision outside the country unless they have the consent of the courts.

However, this was costly, and some provisions of the Act required the FTC to make a finding before a matter could be referred to the courts.

Moreover, the measures associated with the new Act No. 205 of 25 June 1993 empowered the courts to impose penalties including the performance of community service.

The Department was also reviewing the possibility of amending the Family Violence Act to allow for courts to provide interdicts for victims as a preventive measure.

Cooperation with international courts, including development and parliamentary handling of the German Act on Cooperation with the International tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia at The Hague.

Courts

For the mentioned crimes in the Penal Code and for terrorist crimes according to the Act on Criminal Responsibility for Terrorist Crimes, Swedish courts have universal jurisdiction.

Women could act as prosecutors, lawyers, and judges and take part in the deliberations of all courts, namely first level court, appellate court, and supreme (cassation) court.

(e) Dismissal and appointment of judges and judicial personnel in the courts, civil courts, prosecution service and magistrates courts.

The Department of Public Prosecution and the criminal courts could request the submission of such a declaration in the course of investigation of offences established by the Act.

Religious Courts

Subordinate courts are empowered to adjudicate on appeals from the local courts.

Provisions guaranteeing women apos s employment rights in the courts are set out in the Labour Procedure Act adopted by Royal Legislative Decree No. 2 1995, of 7 April.

74. Ratione temporis, the Rwandan courts are competent to try punishable acts which, pursuant to Act No. 8 96, were committed between 1 October 1990 and 31 December 1994.

By then the Act against Ethnic Discrimination which, according to the State party, provides job applicants with the possibility of filing cases before district courts, was already in force.
