The Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer had presented the draft report on the evaluation (UNEP OzL.Pro ExCom 45 11) at the forty fifth meeting of the Executive Committee.

The Fourteenth Meeting of the Parties requested the Executive Committee to consider making an evaluation of customs officer training and licensing systems projects a priority and to report on the evaluation, if possible, to the Sixteenth Meeting of the Parties.

At the sSixteenth Meeting of the Parties, the Executive Committee reported that the requested evaluation would be reported to the sSeventeenth Meeting of the Parties.

The meeting determined that relevant departments should promptly put forward specific plans on the basis of scientific evaluation.

At the Sixteenth Meeting of the Parties, the Multilateral Fund secretariat reported that a report on the requested evaluation would be presented to the Seventeenth Meeting of the Parties.

Also, it is planning to host an inter agency consultative meeting of United Nations agencies involved in the evaluation of training activities later in 2005, to examine the option of establishing a clearing house and to facilitate and manage evaluation activities.
