This business plan is the third update to the plan that was presented to the Executive Board in January 2003. It incorporates a series of strategic reviews that took place within PSD during work plan and budget preparation.

Welcoming also the adoption by the Executive Board of the framework of the strategic plan for the Institute, 2004 2007,

This plan enables the Executive Board to review the financial performance of UNICEF in 2004 and see updated income projections.

Views were expressed that logical frameworks for executive direction and management should be included in the next biennial programme plan.

The Party had advised that it could not prepare the requested plan of action until its halon phase out plan had been approved by the Executive Committee of the Multilateral Fund.

The Executive Board requested that the action plan analyse the cost effectiveness of different options for the future configuration of UNOPS.

The report covers the PSD work plan and proposed budget for 2006, including draft resolutions submitted for the Executive Board's approval.

4.1 The Executive Director for the Capital Master Plan reports to the Secretary General through the Under Secretary General for Management.

The Executive Board took note of the report of the Executive Director (DP 2005 23) and the progress report on the status of the preparation of a comprehensive action plan (DP 2005 CRP.10).

The plan provides for the preparation of 697 million of regular resources programme proposals for approval by the Executive Board in 2006.

In paragraph 331, the Board recommended that UNICEF establish a travel plan for staff members of the Office of the Executive Director.

16. The Executive Board took note of the proposed work plan for 1998 (DP 1997 CRP.21), with the comments made thereon.

The Executive Board requested a corporate gender strategy and action plan, for which the gender unit submitted a revised version in April 2005.

UNOPS is in the process of preparing an action plan for sustainability, which is to be presented to the Executive Board in September 2005.

All those Parties had received assistance from the Executive Committee, except Zimbabwe, for which a project had been included in the 2005 business plan.

The Task Force should complete its work in the first half of 2006, and thereafter the Executive Secretary should prepare a medium term plan.

2. Also requests the Executive Secretary to report to the Commission at its twentieth session on any changes effected in the medium term plan.

An annual work plan for all upcoming meetings in the following year is drawn up during the third regular session of the Executive Board.

The Executive Committee, at its forty fifth meeting, in April 2005, had approved funding for UNIDO to assist the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya in preparing a halon phase out plan, and the Party expected that it would submit the halon phase out plan for approval to the Executive Committee at its forty seventh meeting, in November 2005.

He also reiterated his country's commitment to achieving the time specific benchmarks contained in the national ODS phase out plan approved by the Executive Committee.
