When women work in the field of fishery, they are usually employed in processing fishery products (processing frozen produce, cannery, preparation of smoked and salted food) and in trade.

These include biodigester septic tanks for treatment of domestic sewage anaerobic pond systems for treating agricultural processing wastes and anaerobic sludge reactors for the treatment of food processing waste water.
