Over the past few decades, Africa has suffered more from armed conflicts than any other continent.

Africa is the only continent in which food production has declined significantly over the past two decades.

And people in churches all over and mosques all over this continent after September the 11th, coming together locally to create networks of understanding.

And the cables go really continent to continent.

Africa is the only continent where rural poverty has been increasing and per capita food production has been declining over the last two decades.

It currently had 37 member States, representing every continent, and had rescued over 18,000 persons in more than 5,000 incidents since 1982.

There's the continent Africa.

The continent needs you.

The colors show the continent.

The grasslands at that time this was during the last ice age stretched basically from Germany all the way over to Korea, and the entire continent was open to them.

The relationship that Portugal has maintained with that continent over centuries fully warrants that, as do the situation of extreme poverty and the manifest delay in meeting the established goals.

But you should know that this continent is not is a continent of many countries, not one country.

And I repeat it for the continent.

Africa was once called the Dark Continent.

It's really an island continent.

JOHANNESBURG It has been said, correctly, that Sudan is a microcosm of Africa. For this reason, the entire continent will follow events in Sudan over the next few months with the greatest interest.

So we have political support right across the continent.

Now let's look at the continent as a whole.

No continent is safe from the threat of terror.

Big skies, big hearts, big, shining continent.

As a continent, here are our priorities.

Africa is a continent, but Greenland isn't.

That continent warranted special assistance and attention.

Are we doing the best we can for the continent?

And, you know, you have the neighborhood effect where if something is going on in one part of the continent, it looks like the entire continent is affected.

This is also an opportunity to note with satisfaction the mobilization of international public opinion in favour of Africa over the past year and the support that donor countries, partners in development, have pledged to the continent.

And in one case, it originated on another continent.

The empowerment of women and children is moving apace on the continent.

And it is quite clear that apes originated on the African continent.

Each bubble is a country the color, you can see, a continent.

It also is the second most populated continent, with 900 million people.
