In paragraph 162 of its report, the Board recommended that UNICEF improve its management of staff rotation.

The present report contains amendments to the Staff Regulations that are needed to enhance the accountability of United Nations staff with respect to both financial accountability of staff involved in the management of the Organization's resources and disciplinary accountability of United Nations staff members who commit sexual exploitation and sexual abuse.

In preparing the present report, incidents affecting the safety and security of United Nations staff and operations have been itemized by geographic region.

As noted in my previous report (S 2005 506), MONUC has a very high rate of attrition and difficulties in recruiting qualified staff.

In addition, the General Assembly has before it for consideration the Secretary General's report Amendments to the Staff Regulations (A 60 365), in which he has requested that the Assembly approve a change to staff regulation 1.2 (n) which would broaden financial disclosure requirements to include staff at the L 6, D 1, L 7 and D 2 levels and additional staff as deemed necessary by the Secretary General.

Ensured the implementation of the recommendations of the ARMS Report, including the preparation of Job Descriptions and recruitment of staff and procurement of resource requirements.

In paragraph 101 of its report, the Board recommended that UNU (a) enforce compliance with the directives on recovery of travel advances of staff members and (b) formulate a policy governing the granting and settlement of travel advances of non staff members.

In paragraph 62 of the report, the Tribunal agreed with the Board's recommendation that it explore, with the United Nations Secretariat, the possibility of extending the medical standards for staff members to candidates for judgeship, which was a non United Nations staff position.

And we recruited wonderful staff, highly motivated staff.
