The objective of the evaluation is to test the level of implementation of results based management in peacekeeping operations and to make recommendations on how to adapt results based management principles, methodology and techniques to the specific needs of those operations.

Efficiency is gained by having the RNCs based in the UNEP regional offices, which serve as the centre of operations and give administrative and institutional support to the RNCs and the respective regional networks.
