The elimination of illiteracy, adult basic education and education in the areas of health, preventive medicine and sanitation are essential.

337. Adult education and continuing training.

Adult education is designed for persons aged 15 and over who have not followed or completed a course of basic education and includes literacy training, primary and secondary education and vocational training.

The evaluation concluded that three types of education and their related target groups should be given particular priority primary education for children, basic education and literacy retention for adolescents and adult literacy.
