This act supplements Israel's export control legislation on missiles and related material as an adherent to the Missile Technology Control Regime.

Export Controls Legal Regime

We participate in key multilateral export control co ordination events, and work with the multilateral export control regimes (NSG, MTCR, HCOC, Australia Group and Wassenaar Arrangement) in supporting their outreach activities and in encouraging non members to adopt the export controls of their regime.

Export control

By that action, in addition to its unilateral adherence to the Missile Technology Control Regime guidelines since 1991, Israel is, de facto, in compliance with the different export control regimes.

This regulation is the export control legislation in force.

Last year, Pakistan's Parliament promulgated a comprehensive export control act, which further built upon the existing regime to deal with nuclear and biological weapons, materials, goods, technologies, equipment and their means of delivery.

Japan is currently a member of all the international export controls regimes, that is, the Nuclear Suppliers Group, the Zangger Committee, the Australia Group, the Missile Technology Control Regime and the Wassenaar Arrangement.

Latvia is a strong supporter of effective multilateral export control regimes.

A national export control system provides for effective procedures for licensing imports and exports.

Our country is taking steps to reinforce and improve the national export control system.

Kazakhstan has also applied for membership in the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR).

For its part, Israel adopted last year an export and import control order designed to consolidate and further regulate control over exports of a chemical, biological and nuclear nature.

All EU Member States are bound by the EU Code of Conduct on Arms Exports, which is a very comprehensive international arms export regime.

The UK national statutory Licensing Authority is the Export Control Organisation (ECO), part of the Department of Trade and Industry.

This includes offering guidance and training on legal regulatory matters and offering assistance in the drafting of export control legislation.

It is also enforced by the activity of the International Atomic Energy Agency as well as the export control regimes.
