A key component of this will be the provision of accurate and reliable security information to the humanitarian community.

Furthermore, it is expected that the security sector will effectively assume responsibility for the security of the country by December 2005, subject to the provision of needed assistance.

In accordance with Security Council resolution 1626 (2005), UNMIL assumed responsibility for the provision of security to the Special Court for Sierra Leone on 1 December 2005.

While the multinational force assists with the provision of security, it also works to increase Iraqi capacity to assume that task.

In coordination with UNDP, the provision for security is treated as a distinct item, not included in the biennial support budget at this stage.

The Nuclear Industries Security Regulations 2003 make provision for the protection of nuclear material (during production, use and storage on sites and during transport) against the risks of theft and sabotage, and for the protection of sensitive nuclear information, such as site security arrangements.

The goals of this activity area were achieved by the development of appropriate methodologies, and the provision of training, advisory services and other supporting activities to improve security arrangements at specific locations.

The programme coordinated the general organization of the Conference, including conference facilities and equipment, provision of conference services and staff servicing the Conference, questions relating to security, immigration requirements and local transportation.

Under its current mandate, the election related activities of MINUSTAH in support of the Transitional Government and the Electoral Council focus on the provision of security, as well as technical, logistical and administrative assistance.

Provision is also made for the acquisition of 589 items of prefabricated facilities, 443 sea containers, 45 fuel tanks and 57 pumps, 312 items of accommodation equipment and 587 items of security and safety equipment.

Both Bangkok Port and Laem Chabang Port are in compliance with the Bio Terrorism Act of the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) and the International Ship and Port Facilities Security Code (ISPS Code) regarding the provision of training courses to officers concerned, risk assessment of port operations, decisions on port security plans and setting up of security staff.

Encourage the Government to continue to take all necessary steps to protect civilians in northern Uganda and provide security for the provision of humanitarian assistance, including through the reinforcement of military and police deployments.

Expressing its firm belief that arriving at the best solution to the problem of refugees may accelerate the provision of favourable conditions which would ease their return to their countries in security and dignity

Provision of a basic definition of terms by the Security Council or the Committee, particularly of associated with, would provide States with a better understanding of when to propose names for listing, thereby encouraging new listings.
