UNRWA offered training in self management skills to members of local committees and Agency staff to help the centres achieve self sustainability.

52 women's groups have received training in calculating revenues and profits, in self promotion, and in stocks management.

New managing committees were elected at nine of the centres, complemented by training in self management skills provided at all centres.

In the vocational training area, the above situation demands that INAFORP make a clear, decisive commitment to improving women apos s placement in a variety of training opportunities, backed up by self management programmes and the training of women for middle management positions in businesses.
