As regards the other charges against him which are still pending, he continues to risk detention and thereby to be subjected to torture by police.

In many States, asylum seekers and refugees who have gained entry do not have valid identity documents and are vulnerable to harassment, arrest, detention and deportation, in particular in the context of measures to combat illegal migration.

Mass deportation and prolonged forcible transfer are crimes against humanity.
