Investment in China s manufacturing sector was low in December, but infrastructure investment improved slightly. As such, fixed asset investment for the month will remain the same as that in November.

Thus, China did not suffer a severe recession as occurred in Japan, Germany, and elsewhere in emerging Asia in 2009 only because fixed investment exploded. And the fixed investment share of GDP has increased further in 2010 2011, to almost 50 .

In 2017, fixed asset investment in China s education sector exceeded RMB1 trillion, and growth rate was 20.2 . The absolute quantity exceeded investment in the mining industry for the first time.

To carry out the mission and achieve the Fund's goals and objectives, the Investment Section of the Investment Management Service actively manages portfolios of equity, fixed income, real estate and short term investments, constantly analysing capital markets and investment opportunities.

In China, Brazil, Malaysia, and Mexico, foreign direct investment (FDI) accounts for 8 to 12 of gross fixed capital formation without generating debt. Although the least developed countries attract less than 3 of north south investments, these flows account for more than 3 of their GDP, a level higher than the average for developing countries.

According to the data of National Bureau of Statistics, the fixed asset investment growth, total imports and other data in July have come down.

Since the 2000 s, China s gross assets and gross liabilities have increased dramatically, owing to the success of China s trade promotion and FDI policies. As a result, China s net international investment position has become very vulnerable to the devaluation of the dollar.

OFDI flows as a percentage of gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) are considerably higher than the world average for such economies as Hong Kong (China), Taiwan Province of China, the Russian Federation and Singapore.

There may well be some increase in gross investment, as obsolete equipment and software are replaced. But there also is some evidence that innovation is slowing perhaps the result of reduced investment in research in the past five years.

Article 15Under any of the following circumstances, it shows that the enterprise concerned is not able to hold the fixed term financial asset investment until its maturity

Cumulative growth rate of fixed asset investment in December is forecast to be at 7.2 , unchanged from the previous month, but lower than that a year ago.

In 2004, the volume of foreign direct investment in South East Europe reached the level of 5 per cent of the regional countries' collective gross domestic product.

In this sense, the investment rate, which in China approaches 50 of GDP and is rising, can be regarded as a measure of the stress that fixed investment places on the economy. It is not entirely an exaggeration to say that the economy s capacity for investment growth has reached its limit.

Article 11The term held to maturity investment refers to a non derivative financial asset with a fixed date of maturity, a fixed or determinable amount of repo price and which the enterprise holds for a definite purpose or the enterprise is able to hold until its maturity.

One reason is that investment may never reach its previous levels. If a service based economy simply has less need for expensive fixed capital, why should we expect a return to the days when business investment was a strong component of demand?

This indicates that data on the growth rate of fixed asset investment may have exaggerated the pace of capital stock accumulation. Hence, while the Chinese government should be firm on reducing the dependence of growth on investment, it must exercise utmost care when doing so.

Our gross domestic product (GDP) has exceeded the goals we set, and investment in the fight against poverty, has, as a proportion of GDP, also been slightly higher than forecast.

Over the past decade, real estate investment in China has been the single most important contributor to fixed asset investment growth and therefore, to the economy. Indeed, since the late 1990 s, the real estate investment to GDP ratio has been far higher than it was in countries like Japan and Korea during their high growth periods.

As a result, when the dollar depreciates against the renminbi, the value of China s foreign liabilities increases in dollar terms, while that of its foreign assets remains unchanged. As a result, China s net international investment position (NIIP), which is the difference between China s gross assets and its gross liabilities, automatically worsens.

Local governments indebtedness soared, and fixed investment surged toward an unprecedented 50 of GDP. Fears surfaced of another banking crisis, the imminent collapse of a monstrous property bubble, and runaway inflation.

Investment pooling has permitted Treasury to limit very short term deposits to approximately 20 to 25 per cent of investments, allowing the remainder to be held in marketable fixed income securities.

In 2007, the United States had a savings rate of 14.6 of GDP, but an investment rate of 19.6 , generating a current account deficit. By contrast, China had a fixed investment rate of 41.7 of GDP and a savings rate of 51.9 , reflected in a large surplus.

In the US, investment spending declined from 23.6 of GDP in 1990 to 19.3 in 2013, and fell even more markedly in net terms (gross investment excluding capital depreciation). In the European Union, the decline was from 24 of GDP in 1990 to 18.1 in 2013.

Light refers to fixed assets, headcount, management processes and other burdens that are less than that of traditional retailers heavy refers to areas such as logistics and storage that require enormous investment.

Gross Domestic Wellbeing

China has grown for the last few decades on the back of export led industrialization and a weak currency, which have resulted in high corporate and household savings rates and reliance on net exports and fixed investment (infrastructure, real estate, and industrial capacity for import competing and export sectors). When net exports collapsed in 2008 2009 from 11 of GDP to 5 , China s leader reacted by further increasing the fixed investment share of GDP from 42 to 47 .

A stimulus package of less than prudent fixed asset investment, adopted in response to the 2008 global financial crisis, sustained 9 GDP growth for two years. But, after 2011, stimulus turned to macroeconomic tightening, causing investment growth to plummet from a nominal rate of over 30 to about 10 recently.
