The Niger Penal Code establishes penalties and defines offences, making no distinction as to the sex of the perpetrator of an antisocial act.

The Second Amendment to the Penal Code (Act No. 126 of 1992), adopted in 1992, prior to the promulgation of the new Constitution, the 1987 Security Officers Act and the National Keypoints Act (Act No. 102 of 1980) contained provisions applicable to security service companies operating in South Africa.

Despite the positive climate, however, discriminatory articles still remain in certain laws relating to the family and the life of women, such as the Nationality Act, the Personal Status Act and the Penal Code.

600. The amendment of section 292 of the Penal Code by the Act of 7 April 1995, adding racial motivation as an aggravating circumstance when an act of vandalism has been committed, is welcomed.

The implementation does not require amendments to the Firearms Act but the provisions on firearms offences in the Penal Code need to be supplemented.

The Crime Suppression Act of 28 October 1994 had introduced penal provisions to cover the falsification of registration documents of motor vehicles and related offences.

For the mentioned crimes in the Penal Code and for terrorist crimes according to the Act on Criminal Responsibility for Terrorist Crimes, Swedish courts have universal jurisdiction.
