The Framework calls for targeted increases in official development assistance and national budgets towards reducing underlying risk factors.

The Hyogo Framework provides a clear and authoritative framework for pursuing disaster risk reduction and builds on other relevant multilateral frameworks and declarations (see A CONF.206 6, chap. I, resolution 2).

The Hyogo Declaration and the Hyogo Framework for Action, adopted in January of this year, urge us to integrate risk reduction into post disaster recovery and development strategies.

Within the framework of the threat and risk assessment process, Headquarters was responsible for maintaining quality in consultation with regional desks and other Secretariat departments, ensuring that threat and risk assessments and security phases were reviewed and updated and addressing any thematic assessment needs.

At the WCO Policy Commission in December 2004, the draft WCO Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade was accepted. One of the main elements of the draft framework is to harmonize advance electronic manifest information in order to allow risk assessment.

And the framework is a memory framework, not a computation or behavior framework. It's a memory framework.

The chief will be responsible for risk control of the Fund's investments as a whole in terms of portfolio risk, operational risk and compliance risk, and will plan and perform the oversight of performance measurement, investment risk analysis and operational risk analysis, including risk arising from sub adviser and service provider relationships.

The Hyogo Framework specifically calls for the establishment or strengthening of national platforms for disaster risk reduction, anchored to existing national systems, to review, coordinate, guide and support the national commitments.

They make up a framework of action that can be applied in any country throughout the world that is facing a situation that poses a risk for international peace and security.

The resultingamp Hyogo Framework for Action 2005 2015amp was a watershed moment in establishing disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation as hallmarks of good governance. Most of the countries that stand to benefit from the Hyogo Framework do not have Japan s long historical experience of battling natural hazards.
