A Tribunal is established by the present Statute to be known as the United Nations Administrative Tribunal.

At present, the Tribunal has 43 counsel (including co counsels) from 15 countries assigned by the Tribunal.

Report by the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia

of 20 September 1996 to execute the arrest warrants issued by the Tribunal regarding individuals under Croatian jurisdiction, and deplored the failure of the Republic of Croatia to execute the arrest warrants issued by the Tribunal against individuals indicted by the Tribunal.

The author was tried by the Tribunal Cuarto de Pichincha.

As has been emphasised by previous Presidents of this Tribunal, these three fugitives in particular cannot wait the Tribunal out.

172. The Commission discussed the judgement rendered by the ILO Administrative Tribunal, and concluded that the Tribunal had not infringed on the Commission s competence.

The cooperation of the German authorities with the Tribunal is regulated in a statute passed by the German parliament in April 1995. My Government extradited two men charged with war crimes to the Tribunal. The extradition of Duško Tadić by Germany to The Hague was the very first extradition to the Tribunal by a Member State. Germany has also declared its readiness to execute sentences handed down by the Tribunal.

178. As at August 1998, public indictments had been issued by the two Tribunals against almost 100 people 60 by the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia and 36 by the International Tribunal for Rwanda.

212. The Committee recommends that the State party cooperate fully with the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, in particular by handing over those indicted by the Tribunal for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Progress on remaining Tribunal issues is now followed up by a joint working group between the Prime Minister's cabinet, the Office of the High Representative and the Tribunal.

In September, the Tribunal de grande instance of Cancuzo did not review any cases under LAP, the Bujumbura mairie Tribunal completed all LAP cases and the Tribunal of Muyinga was unable to review cases because of a strike by the detainees.

Thus, the DLV tribunal was to be considered an arbitral tribunal.

155. While they have expressed their willingness to accept persons convicted by the Tribunal, Norway, and to a certain extent Denmark, have made their decisions contingent on a case by case consideration of the individual requests submitted by the Tribunal.

In adopting resolution 955 (1994) of 8 November 1994, by which the Security Council established the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, the Council also adopted the Statute of the Tribunal.

The amount of staff assessment accumulated in the financial year 2003 ( 614,374) shall be used to reimburse officials and members of the Tribunal for national taxes paid in respect of remuneration paid by the Tribunal in 2003 and 2004 and accordingly have been included by the Tribunal in the assessment special account.

Secondly, the interim measures of protection had to be rendered by an arbitral tribunal.

Their trials by the Special Military Tribunal have allegedly been riddled with unfair practices.

During the seventeenth session of the Tribunal, the plenary of the Tribunal and the Committee on Rules and Judicial Practice discussed, on the basis of a document prepared by the Registry, the question of a code of conduct for counsel appearing before the Tribunal.

The tribunal was not required, in addition, to discuss all issues raised by the parties.
