Today's reconfirmation of the Monterrey partnership reaffirms our shared commitment to economic growth and sound governance.

Mexico hereby reaffirms its commitment to the global partnership for development set out in the Monterrey Consensus.

For their part, developed countries must fulfil their commitment to a genuine and mutually beneficial global partnership for development.

All of that can be achieved through a continued commitment to good governance and partnership building with all stakeholders.

Those, briefly, are areas that could strengthen the Monterrey commitment to a global partnership between the South and the North.

Secondly, at the Summit, world leaders had reaffirmed their commitment to the global development partnership which had been agreed to in the Monterrey Consensus.

Welcomes the commitment of African countries to advance the implementation of the New Partnership, acknowledges, in this regard, the role of the Heads of State and Government Implementation Committee of the New Partnership in furthering the implementation of the New Partnership, and welcomes the New Partnership summits held so far, as well as the upcoming summits

15. Encourages African countries to further enhance public awareness of and commitment to the New Partnership and its programmes through, inter alia, effective and comprehensive communication and outreach strategies

We are here today to renew our commitment to the global partnership envisioned in the outcomes of the major United Nations summits and conferences of the past 15 years.

We welcome the commitment of African countries to take effective and concrete measures, inter alia, through the establishment of various institutional mechanisms and the development of strategies, for the implementation of the New Partnership for Africa's Development. This commitment reflects the recognition that the primary responsibility for the implementation of the New Partnership rests with the African Governments and peoples.

Indeed, the Partnership cannot succeed without a significant increase in support from the international community, nor can it succeed without Africa's commitment to improved economic and political governance.

One delegation informed the meeting about its commitment, in partnership with the international community, to expand and enhance the existing Pacific Ocean tsunami warning system into a global system.

Worse yet, despite their asseverations of partnership and commitment to consultation and coherence, they decide unilaterally on measures that adversely affect the lives of millions in the developing countries.

Following the withdrawal of UNAMSIL, the sustained commitment of the United Nations, working in close partnership with the Government of Sierra Leone, will be required.

Welcomes the commitment of African countries to integrate the priorities of the New Partnership for Africa's Development into their national policies and development planning frameworks, to maintain full ownership and leadership in developing and utilizing such policies and frameworks, and to mobilize domestic resources in support of the New Partnership

So, if we are to lift this unnecessary and unacceptable burden of disease from the world's poorest, we need a strong partnership backed up by renewed financial and political commitment.

We need the commitment of the Member States  all of us here today and we need a new partnership between the United Nations and regional organizations.

Along with this, a stronger commitment by countries belonging to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development to Goal 8 and to the key role played by a global partnership for development is necessary.

Conscious of the commitment of both the Government of Anguilla and the administering Power to a new and closer policy of dialogue and partnership through the Strategic Country Programme 2000 2003,

Welcoming the commitment of African countries, as reaffirmed in the New Partnership for Africa's Development, to promote peace, democracy, good governance, human rights and sound economic management in their respective countries,

We welcome the May 2005 Joint Declaration of the United States Afghanistan Strategic Partnership the Joint Declaration of an Enduring Relationship between the United Kingdom and Afghanistan and the 16 November European Union Afghanistan Joint Declaration Committing to a new EU Afghan Partnership, as important statements of long term commitment of major partners.

The Council concluded that governments have demonstrated a commitment to SUFA and its undertakings to improve mobility to inform Canadians through public accountability and transparency to work in partnership to improve social programs for Canadians and to avoid and resolve disputes.

5. Welcomes the New Partnership for Africa's Development as a programme of the African Union that embodies the vision and commitment of all African Governments and peoples for peace and development

The Proliferation Security Initiative, known as the Krakow Initiative, and the Global Partnership against the Spread of Weapons of Mass Destruction are two excellent examples of our commitment to the goal of strengthening the disarmament machinery.

It was stressed that a redoubling of political will and commitment, based on the principle of collective responsibility and global partnership, is imperative if the development agenda is to be accomplished within the stipulated time frame.
