Timor Leste has taken measures to prevent corruption and mismanagement.

Such measures prevent and detect leakages and corruption in delivering public goods and services.

I propose to explore this idea further, to examine the potential of creating a for profit, fee based BPO kind of service to stop bribes and prevent corruption.

Further requests the Secretary General to take all necessary steps to recover financial and other losses and to take appropriate measures to prevent fraud, corruption, mismanagement and misconduct

The Convention has assisted in the promotion and facilitation of cooperation among the States parties to ensure the effectiveness of measures and actions to prevent, detect, punish and eradicate corruption in the performance of public functions and acts of corruption specifically related to such performance (art. I).

The Sixth Meeting was held at the European Anti Fraud Office in Brussels on 30 September and 1 October 2004 with the objective of exploring measures to prevent and control corruption in international organizations.

These ministerial level political processes have mobilized international commitments from producer, consumer and donor Governments to increase efforts to prevent illegal logging, as well as associated illegal trade and corruption in the forest sector.

The ratification of the Convention and its entry into force will enable States parties to employ the instrument and, consequently, to prevent, detect and combat corruption more effectively, at both the national and international levels.
