(c) Benefits for standardization of procurement rules and procedures

There may sometimes exist rules and regulations regulating public procurement issued by various agencies handling public procurement.

Procurement was one of the Organization's main expenditure items and support functions and the establishment of accountability mechanisms and solid rules and regulations were therefore critical in that area.
