(b) Minors aged 16 to 18 who committed an administrative offence

In the case of an offence against the security of the State, counterfeiting of the State seal or the national currency in circulation, the offence committed outside the territory of the Republic shall be punishable on the same basis as an offence committed in its territory.

If the internal investigation reveals that an offence has been committed, the case is transferred to a criminal court.

Persons who were under 21 at the time they committed an offence may not be sentenced to life imprisonment (chap. 29, sect. 7).
