In its resolution 2005 47, stressing the importance of promoting and protecting human rights of migrant workers recognized in the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families, the Commission on Human Rights encouraged States to consider negotiating bilateral and regional agreements on migrant workers and requested that related violations of labour law be effectively prosecuted.
